Tbh mate i don't think Spurs should be or are looking at Liverpool and i don't think Liverpool should be or are looking at Spurs, they aint who we have to beat to top 4 and you lot should be wanting Chelsea to drop points at City.

I think the OPs missed something here.

Had we lost and Pool won we would currently be on level points I think. Be in no doubt this top 4 thing isn't yet settled.

If we ended the night on a loss, and LFC on a win the momentum could well have swung around.

It would have been 10 pts behind CFC again and only really looking down to protect out position.

Now we have a cushion, we're hanging in there in the league, LFC and City drop points.

Massive results for Spurs IMO. Yes we want to win the league but its not in our hands. What is in our hands is top 4 preferably 2nd place amassing as many points as possible.

The OP has missed nothing - sorry to disappoint the almighty do-righters here.

We have every right to think that the mousers were looking at 2-1 to them and 1-0 Spurs down to Swansea and were creaming themselves.

Therefore for them to drop 2 points from that position and for us to haul back and take all three points, that's something to celebrate!

Liverpool fans might not admit it now but from the moment when they were leading the league around Xmas, have been associating themselves to title chasers and potential winners. What happened to them this year is laughable though- it shows how far they are to being a consistent side

Probably!
Other than that, absolute twaddle. I'm pretty sure most LFC fans, like me, are not looking at Spurs or Chelsea results so much, more at Arsenal and Utd. Top 4 was the (seemingly ambitious) aim at the start of the season, so if we manage to finish 4th I think you'll find we're all pretty happy with that thanks.
