Well I have no problem with the Idiots sharing the joys of promotion with the players. Nor to the few thousand that joined them even those from the east stand.

The 2nd lot of idiots were Mansfield thugs trying to get into the home end via the exits and were swiftly met by security staff who they were fighting with.

And thirdly the players were out in town celebrating with said idiots and thoroughly enjoyed mixing with the fans at full time. Quoted from Marquis and Boudry!

That now Ferguson talks of the staleness that was present when he arrived bears out what some of us felt during most of the time that Dickov was in charge. I wonder whether the entire body of sychophantic journalists ever feel a sense of their responsibility for failing to see the man's inadequacies, or question his tactics and were so unwilling to examine and question his explanations and yet so meekly to swallow his empty excuses? No players ever seemed to improve under his charge and the majority he brought in were so obviously just not up to the job.

Where Ferguson succeeds, so Dickov failed…the signings, the goals, the entertainment, the motivation and commitment of the team. Dickov took us down and down and set us back so far, so quickly. In fact, I think the current team look as good as if not better than Dickov's in the Championship, even before it began to degrade under his leadership.

As things stand, next year's League 1 will not contain any obviously well-resourced clubs apart perhaps from Bradford who seem immovably stuck there like Sheffield United who we might assume will be joined by Bolton Wanderers in departing. Wigan have failed to get near the Championship's standard on their return and Blackburn seem to have been on the brink of the abyss for ever.

We shall find out whether what we have will carry us up League 1 and the obvious area for attention is the goals against which means defensive improvements either in terms of players, organisation or both.

A great night at the EFL Awards - Marquis, Butler, Fergie, and, of course that wonderful supporter, Paul Mayfield.
It really is a great time to be a Rovers supporter - I have not felt so "up" since we beat Leeds in the play-offs.
As many of you know, I've been supporting the Rovers since the 1949/50 season, and the feeling at the club has rarely seemed so good.
To our late friend, Derek Blackham, I'm sure you are looking down on us and enjoying it.

I do believe NY would have loved it Micky

Don after the game Fergie spoke of adding more faces to the current team. If he does his business and dealings as early as last season we could be in for another good year ahead. The man deserves such credit for his transfers as does the board. Apart from Etheridge aside they have all been decent signings and contributed hugely to this success. It's so hard for teams and players to regroup and hit the ground running after the season we had previous but I believe we have and will be even more stronger in the next few years to come. I wouldn't be surprised to see us back in the championship in a couple of years.

Mickey it has been a tough year losing Derek and I'm sure he would have been chuffed to bits and also had a sense of, I new we would do it!

Hartlepool has sold out.

A lot of credit has to go to the Directors for sticking with DF after last years end of season results. Looking at the likely teams in League 1, a mid table finish at least is probable . With a few decent signings who knows? Defence has been steadier over the last couple of months but still has worrying lapses. It needs strengthening. I like Wright, he marshals the others well, but his distribution out of defence is dire. Who could ever replace No 26 though? We seem to have a decent strike force now and hope we can get to keep JM. Wouldn't be surprised to see Williams go though.

Think we could win the league at Wycombe. Got tickets so I hope to see us lift the trophy there. I bet Yankee was looking down with a big smile on his face 😆

This season has gone exactly as we all hoped it would at the start of the season. Credit to the DF who, in my view only had 6 games to demonstrate he'd got us finally on the right track, he sure did, pretty much before a ball was kicked. The Board, quietly doing exactly what DF needed support him and back him in the transfer market. The players you've put a massive smile on the supporters around the Stadium it feels soooooo good right now. It's a real pitty more didn't come to see what was going on at the Keepmoat a few weeks sooner. The supporters, finally we have an atmosphere back in the South Stand, although at times we can't quite get a grab on what the club don't want us to do!

Now for the title COYR.

Having seen most of the game on the OS Player, it seemed the least entertaining match of the season for me, although I have only been to a handful. Mansfield contained them and with the exception of McCullough who was impressive, we passed the ball badly and only when May and Copps came on did we really look as though we wanted to score. They are "active" players whereas McSheffery and in particular Williams are "passive", waiting rather than challenging and creating.

I am now rather disappointed with WIlliams; the competition that May has provided has not really inspired him to work a bit harder and whilst he is able to come off the bench and give us something a bit different as I think he did at Barnet, he does not seem to be as willing a runner any more. Possibly Beestin might be allowed a chance.

If Copps is injured let's hope Mandeville will be available soon.

McCullough MoM for me.

May and Copps are active players whereas
