'Just as one door closes, another slams in your face'. A fitting analogy to the event's of Tuesday and Wednesday night. My mood of optimism was cruelly dashed as we lost to Wolves after so nearly snatching the lead and Huddersfield turned recent form on it's head to crush Norwich 3-0.
All three goals were struck in seven second half minutes, while Norwich were in the ascendancy. The first after Norwich failed to clear a long ball, allowing Elias Kachunga to score his 12th goal of the season. Aaron Mooy knocked in number two by beating Micheal McGovern with a low shot past his near post, before Nahki Wells booted in the third underneath the diving goalkeeper.
Jonathon Hogg played after staging a miraculous recovery after initially being ruled out for the remainder of the season. He was diagnosed with a suspected neck fracture after colliding with a team mate during his teams 4-0 thrashing by Bristol City.
To state the blindingly obvious we need point's desperately and our negative goal difference must influence our tactic's. It mustn't be allowed to count as another point. Mark Warburton needs to field a team that can defend and counter attack a Huddersfield team that will consider themselves favourites to win the game.
Quote from David Wagner;
"I am delighted about the performance all over the pitch. It was a totally deserved win and I am very proud of the players. We were poor against Bristol City but you try to learn and get better and we were unlucky to lose against Burton. Tonight we showed what we are capable of. The players trust each other and believe in what we are doing."
Forest have Danny Fox suspended for tomorrow after picking a up two yellows on Tuesday night. I expect Eric Lichaj to return at right back and Michael Mancienne to slot into central defence alongside Matt Mills as he has some pace.
Warburton needs to install some belief and confidence into his players, this is a far more talented group than Dougie Freedman had at his disposal last year.

All enjoy Brereton in a forest shirt now as he isn't unlikely to be in one come September.

We all know that's true, if Brereton is still at Forest next season some sort of miracle will have happened.

Ah, do your research. I then actually called 2-1 Forest shortly before kick off. Might have had a lot to do with the pool bar, mind...

Don't forget this is Forest, we're more than likely to lose to Blackburn now, after the best performance we've put in all season, we'll typically follow it up with the worst...!
