Palace vs Boro
I like both teams a lot. Palaces front five are capable of blowing sides away, the issue is the defence isn’t as strong (relatively) Boro’s for me just seems a little more balanced and I think the 2 B’s in the heart of the defence could be a nice pairing. Narrow away win.
Palace 1-2 Boro
PEA.
Zlatan, Hazard.
Burnley vs Stoke
Really not sure on Burnley anymore, my earlier love of them built on solid foundations seems to have gone, yes they look more potent now but I just feel they seem weaker at the back.
Its probably my ignorance more than the players but the only 2 players I’d look to improve on for the Potteries is at FB, the rest of the side is right up there. Narrow away win.
Burnley 0-1 Stoke
Suarez.
B’mouth vs Sunderland
Much prefer the shape of B’mouth now, just feels better, Messi at #10 allows him to get the ball and drive forward, Thiago and Wanyama could deffo work and I really like the 3 CB’s.
Sunderland – Dibbles I think showed vs Barca that he’s better off another striker (Higgy) I like the bulk of the side and it’s not a million miles away. Home win.
B’mouth 2-1 S’land
Messi x2
Dybala
Watford vs Swansea
I like the Swansea set-up and it’s Lubo’s best option with what’s available to him, that said he’s up against such a strong Watford side that he got beaten today..Don’t be disheartened Lubes I liked what you did, just man for man I think Watford win in virtually all positions other than GK
Watford 2-0 Swans
Aguero, Pedro

West Brom vs Hull
A better looking Hull side this week, particularly strong in midfield. I like the West Brom midfielders too, but Marchisio and Vidal have that little bit extra over Keita and Dembele for me. I'm not a fan of Barzagli in the Hull defense, I could see Rashford giving them the run around. Godin and Koscielny are also a solid back pairing. It's difficult to pick a winner, so I won't.
West Brom 1-1 Hull
Rashford; Vidal
Crystal Palace vs Middlesbrough
Palace look a bit suspect atthe back for me, they could do with a world class defender, particularly when you consider they are up against Ronaldo, Sanchez and Zlatan. I'm a big lover of the Herrera and Iniesta partnership in the middle, coupled with two world class attackers in Hazard and Aubemayang. For Middlesbrough Hector and Rabiot stick out as weaknesses. Close game and I'd imagine it to be high scoring
Crystal Palace 3-3 Middlesbrough
Aubemayang x2, Hazard; Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo x2
Bournemouth vs Sunderland
For Bounemouth, I'm not sure about their line up. Silva should be in the centre of the back three as I wouldn't want him defending wide areas, and in attack I would have played Firmino as a false nine with Messi and Jesus inside-forwards/wide strikers. In terms of players, no obvious weaknesses though. As for Sunderland, I really don't rate Mascherano and especially not in midfield, and the defense needs a top player in there for me. Eriksen is a great addition and I could see some nice football being played. Tough game to call once again. I don't want to call it.
Bournemouth 1-1 Sunderland
Messi; Draxler
Watford vs Swansea
Watford have a very strong side, with three Real defenders in the back four and no real weaknesses elsewhere. Would comment that Bernardo Silva is better on the right than the left. Swansea have a side I really like, Gueye, Dembele and Son in particular. Would have been tempted to start Antonio over Gaspar. But I see more gamechangers in the Watford team and so I have to give them a win.
Watford 2-1 Swansea
Alli, Pedro; Son

CP vs MID
The home sides defence let them down here really in which was a good high scoring game. Middlesbrough are strong in every department and have no real weaknesses here in their side. Rabiot would be the weak point in this team in terms of quality but worth keeping for development. As identified, Palace in this game have defensive issues. Strong full backs but maybe need another top class CB in this game which may have given them the draw, but good going forward.
Score: 2-3
BUR vs STO
Very difficult to separate both of these sides ending with a draw here. Burnley again have a very good side, with Castro maybe being the weakness in terms of quality, but I still think he's a very good player. Valencia is one I'd improve on as well, a more natural RB would be needed for me. Stoke are getting there, slowly but surely. Still excellent attacking talent, their midfield in strong as well and their defence is improving, but for me Rudiger and Guerrerio (just because he's playing in a CM role at Dortmund more now) might need looking at. Both good options to have, but just stand out a touch in this side.
Score: 1-1
BOU vs SUN
Much like the rest, very difficult to separate but the home side just nick this for me. The home side look extremely difficult to break down, absolutely fantastic defence and for me, the best in the league now. Wanyama in front does a good job and their wing backs are perfect and Thiago is a superb midfielder to have. My only issue would be their 2 strikers. As much as Messi will hit the goals, Jesus and Firmino for me, can score, but not consistently enough imo, but still an excellent side. Sunderland have good experience and an improved team. Along with Bournemouth's excellent defence, Sunderland lack a real goalscorer for me and struggled to break them down in this game.
Score: 1-0
WAT vs SWA
Watford still going for the title come out on top here. Swansea for me need an AM, I don't think their formation suits some of their best players really and even though are strong at the back, they need another body in the central area to help create. Watford are very strong everywhere. The obvious weakness is their GK for me. If I was to pick anyone else out, in terms of quality it would be Sule and Silva, however, still both top talents very much worth keeping to see how they develop.
Score: 3-1

West Brom 1 - 1 Hull City
Costa : Belotti
Tight game in which I couldn't split the two sides. West Brom for me are just lacking a top striker whereas I feel Locatelli could be improved upon for the visitors.
Burnley 1-1 Stoke City
Sane : Reus
Two evenly balanced teams, I felt Stoke were the stronger going forward whereas Nainggolan dominated the midfield battle for Burnley. I'm personally just not a fan of Valencia and can see Reus giving him a difficult afternoon. Equally I can see the in-form Sane causing Peres problems.
Bournemouth 1-0 Sunderland
Firmino
Bournemouth are one of my favourite sides and if they continue in the upward trajectory could well start next season as title favourites. Solid at the back and quality in midfield, I'm not sure on the set up of the front 3 as I feel Messi would do more damage in an advanced position and not sure on Firmino in a front 2. Sunderland are improving however they weren't quite as strong at the back today with Storari a real weakness in goal. RoF has stuck with Firmino who now seems to have turned a corner and fired home the winner.
Watford 2-1 Swansea
Aguero, Alli : Kane
Watford were frustrated for large parts due to the set up of the visitors who always carried a threat on the break. For Watford I'd look to switch Silva to his natural flank and still feel GK remains a weakness. Son is a fantastic acquisition for Swansea however they just didn't have quality to match their opponents in the middle of the field today which proved decisive in the final outcome.

WBA 1 - 2 Hull
Costa ; Belotti, Vidal
Two strong defences, with top class cb partnerships, but went for a Hull win as I feel they have the edge in cm and up top. I think Falcao will make a difference when he's back for the home side, but I don't think they have enough goals in their side without him in comparison to Hull. For the away side I'd say Locatelli is the player that stands out to be improved on.
CP 2 - 3 Boro
Hazard (2) ; Ronaldo (3)
Two strong attacks, and I can see the home team's midfield coming up on top and dominating possession but I felt Boro's attack would have more joy up against CP's defence. The away side don't have any real weaknesses. I'd be looking to improve on Rabiot but also think in attacking team he works well there.
Burnley 1- 1 Stoke
Costa ; Suarez
I think the home side are stronger defensively, and with Stoke being stronger in attack I went for the draw here. The home side have more steel in midfield but I also felt the away side had more creativity throughout their side. Couldn't decide which way to go. There's no weaknesses for me in the Burnley side, but I'm not a fan of a right footer at left back, as I prefer fbs to be attacking. Would also switch Mertens and Sane, should definitely be the other way round for me. Stoke should look to play Khedira... would be a top addition, and otherwise I'd be looking at improving on Rudiger or a fb that's also stronger defensively.
Watford 2-1 Swansea
Aguero, Alli ; Kane
The home side are simply too strong and had too much class for Swansea here. For the home team obviously no weaknesses as such, would prefer Bernardo central or right but the only other thing I'd say is in comparison to Boro they could add a world class player in one of the am positions. Hardly revolutionary but little to say! The away side I think would be better cashing in on the squad players that wont be good enough to make sure they don't miss out on any other improvements. Son is a solid addition to a good team, but they lack the top class players that Watford have so had to go home win.
