Why cant anyone wait before we judge where we are at? That was our first game since the transfer window closed. It wasn't a good performance, but confidence is low, key players are missing and the team needs to integrate.
Personally i think the way we play football is the problem and has been for a long time. We are not direct or quick enough with our passing. We don't get enough players into the box and Persie shouldn't play as our main forward. We need someone who will constantly get in behind defenses. Lastly we need our wingers to stretch teams by staying wide on the line from time to time rather then coming in ALL the time. You can clearly see that these are the differences in style of football between us and both Manchester clubs.
As for the squad of players we have its too early to judge. We were missing both Gervinho and Song through suspension. We haven't seen what impact Santos will have as a left back or Ju-Young Park as a striker. It was only Merts and Arteta's first game and we have Vermaelen, Wilshere and Diaby out injured, two of which are incredibly vital to our first team. Lastly we have Ryo and the OX who could also make a huge impact.
There are so many question marks here. How can we judge before we see. There are so many players who did not play yesterday. What we need is to get a string of wins first in order to build confidence. Then the football will get better. How much better will depend on how good are new players are, which we just don't really know and if AW gets his tactics right.
Too Quick to Judge!!

Too much excuses for the team.
Hardly anyone needs to 'intergrate' so stop making that as an excuse
Arteta played billiant and Merstesacker was settle
The only players who didnt perform yesterday such as Gibbs, Ramsey, Walcott and Van Persie are the ones who have been at Arsenal for a while now. Nothing to do with new signings.
Wenger should have done a major shift up of players in and a formation change. Instead we've kept the same 4231 formation and replaced Fabregas with Ramsey and Gervinho with Nasri.

Movement of the front 3 has to improve. Our play around the opposition box needs tempo, movement, sharp passing, different angles made. Just look at Barcelona's play around the opposition box, it's worlds away.
We've been struggling at home to teams who put 10 behind the ball and sit deep. If we play the possesion game we need to win the ball back in good positions, this is what is perhaps the main problem- our work off the ball is not good enough.
When teams sit deep and defend in numbers, pace and getting in behind the defence become almost obsolete. It's movement, quick fire pasing and beating a man that count.
Di Natali is the king of movement, our front 3 need to move in unison making life hell for defenders, this hasn't been happening for a while now. But I was happy yesterday, we needed a win and we got it.
