Facebook v Saints Player

Just had a look at the OS Facebook page, which at the moment is largely photos and forum. They say it will include interviews and action from training over the summer, so if it includes interviews and action from matches once the season starts I ask myself whether there's much value in paying for the Saints Player, which I have to say I've really enjoyed up to now?

Maybe we will only get the lengthy highlights from matches on the Player in which case we will still want it, but I wonder what the thinking was behind having a Facebook page as well. There's also Twitter for news alerts. Maybe it's to appeal to the Facebook generation, which I'm not part of (tried the OS Facebook page the other day but it wasn't working and Facebook took me to my daughter's page, which had the gripping news she had just eaten a scrummy cupcake...I ask you, why is that worth broadcasting to the world!!!!)

What do the rest of you think?

Having seen so many good lives ruined by F.A.D. (facebook addicted disorder), I have so far managed to resisted the temptation to become yet another victim. I will carry on subscribing to the excellent Saints Player, happy in the knowledge that my money is going to a good cause (Saints) and maybe contributing towards a new player or two.
