Son a LWB is one of those moments where a season turns and momentum is killed. A single moment that lives long in the memory, like Kanoute's handball, Mendes' ghost goal, or when a lasagna cost us a CL place.
Had Poch played a settled back line, with Davies at LB or LWB, who knows what would have happened? We were the form team and Chelsea were there for the taking. Would Chelsea go on to smash 4 past Southampton had they lost? Would they be looking at their fixtures thinking this is now easy?
Now 7 points behind and out the Cup, our momentum seems lost - a large part due to Son playing horribly out of position... hope Poch learns from this, which I'm sure he will as he's a great coach. But I still can't help feeling absolutely gutted about that decision.

It is one of those things buddy i think we have to look at the bigger picture here.
The tragedy of Ugo had a huge effect on everyone. But especially some of the kids. Ben Davies was on the bench but not fit enough to play (he has a fitness test before the game later) he was only on the bench because some of the kids were effected by Ugos passing away and they could not be used.
Personally i would of used Walker at left back 3 games there 3 man of the matches but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I was incredibly proud of the team it was difficult for them i thought the referee had a stinker gave us nothing. We have to move on now.
What i find very interesting is the fact Wimmer has been so poor he could not get a look in, He is a certainty to go in the summer. And i am sure Poch bought on N'kodou to say look at this squad this is all i have.
Lets go and win tonight andros townsend 3 own goals please.
--------------------------------------------------------------------- Ugo passing away so suddenly must have had some effect on the entire squad, I think maybe that has been overlooked. At the end of the day we didn't take our chances , they did end of. If we win tonight all to still play for.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The problem with this argument is that we were the better team all day and should have won. But somehow lost.

You lack mental belief from Poch to the players and fans. You played ok at Wembley but fell apart in the last quarter. Should have been 5 again
Think you need to invest in some flair: a game breaker next season to stop draws from

We completely outplayed you from start to finish.
Mental Belief! Who are you Arsene Wenger??

'Outplayed you from start to finish' and lost.
Spurs fans starting to sound like Wenger and Arsenal circa 2011

Chronic i ageee we were the better team by a mile , only problem is we didn't take our chances, they did.
We all can say it's Sons fault for diving in so rash but it's a poor excuse, if you don't take your chances you don't win games.

Toby was dreadful too, lost his head with that challenge in the first 5.
Would he have done that at home to Bournemouth?
No.
It is all about being your best on the big occasion .
And your defence could not handle the pressure of big occasion

You should resign Bale. A game breaker with a winning mentality in big games.
He would stop the draws and lift you up to title winning level

The whole idea about us lacking mental belief doesn't really ring true anymore like it used to. Aren't we the best team in the league for coming back from losing positions? We did that twice against you in the game.
We lost because of other reasons.
