One of the most famous examples of this at the time was the North Stand for the Crystal Palace FA Cup game in 1976.

That was one of the Battersea boys, I only got to know him through my earlier-mentioned mate who knew him really well. That footage was shown at the first of the famous Headhunter trials and the rest of the boys in the dock with him were ribbing him about it.

He still goes now and is always seen outside Fulham Broadway fan exit by the souvenir/hotdog stall.

But.... but Spurs fans telling that Chelsea had no fans back in the days. They aren't making things up are they?

69, it was discussed on that old timers Chelsea FB group I showed you a few weeks ago.

The consensus on there was that he was from Thornton Heath. A few claimed to know his name but wouldn't mention it!

I'll show you his face on the Cardiff footage next time I see you. He is not the bloke with the beard (if memory serves) in the Palace footage that Jimmy Hill was raging about, but he was caught retrospectively on camera at that game when it was shown to the jury at the Headhunter trial.

I liked Roberts. Especially in our promotion winning season. Had the habit of falling out with club authority.... think that's how he became available to us?

And i think he fell out with Batesy at ours?

I didn't have a problem with Hazard when he was a Chelsea player.

I do now....it just comes across that the mere fact he once played for us, offends him.
