There's a possibility that Utd can finish outside of top 4 and win EL to get CL spot anyway. So they have 2 chances to make it for Europe's top competition next season. However will this affect the 4th placed team? ie will the 4th place still get a CL spot via play off game or straight into EL like Spurs few years ago?
Another scenario where utd get top 4 and win EL, there's an extra CL spot overall. Does a team from another nation get that or is there any chance for a 5th placed team to get it?

No 5th placed team get CL.

Surely you mean - No, 5th placed team get CL
Reminds me of this

Top 4 in England always get top 4 except for ONE exception.
If two English clubs win the CL and EL and BOTH finish outside the top 4 positions, then 4th place will not qualify for the CL. This is because winning those competitions takes precedence and countries are capped at 5 CL entrants.

I didn't mean No, 5th placed team gets CL. That would indicate that they do get it....
That said, it was pretty terribly written. To clarify, there is no scenario where a team who finishes fifth gets CL.

Right, sorry I think I misread. Thought you were referring to the scenario where 5th place wins the EL.
