Every time he says this he may as well be saying "My scouts are shhit"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because they recommend these players? Makes no sense, Spurtle.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So it's Arsene's fault then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lots of varying reasons we didn't buy a lot of players on the list. Yaya Toure and Petr Cech, for example, were down to work permits. Ronaldo was down to United having links to Sporting and having financial strength greater than ours. Messi wanted to stay at Barca, Kompany didn't want to fight for a place, Bale was because we had two left backs already etc etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you see Alli and don't see the potential to buy him, and I doubt there is any outside reason to not get him from MK Dons, then someone has facked up. I assumed it was the scouts if Wenger wasn't responsible.
It's like when our scouts didn't think Suarez was good enough.

Shame we didn't scout Sissoko or Jannsen.

If Janssen comes good, Wenger will say that Arsenal could have signed him.

Bet Levy would take an offer off of anybody with half a brain for Janssen or Sissoko.

You are comparing a kid in his breakthrough year to an international player who was in his 20s?
Every club looked at Alli, Spurs were the ones to take the gamble. He could have gone to another club and still be in their youth team or sold back down the league's - think how close you were to selling Bale after his pretty disasterous first season or two. Think of that highly rated kid, Bostwick (?) you went to a lot of trouble to sign.

If you have a player who you could have signed and they do very well for the club they ended up signing for then it's a fack up in one way or another, unless what you have already is better, and that isn't the case with Arsenal.

And don't forget the likes of Freddy Adu that just never make that step. Or Ali Dia Even the fighting over John Obi Mikel - There are plenty of players that go the other way too.

Liverpool and Rodgers really cocked it up in the Alli transfer.
Robinson then manager of MK Dons contacted LFC and said we need to have a look at this kid.
Got to the stage where we were negotiating the transfer fee and someone just cocked it up at the death.
It's a bit like when Liverpool almost signed Michael Laudrup.

Oh I do hope we beat the Arsenholes tomorrow..... then their board will really have to decide wot to do with old Wonkeye.

Yeh, but if he did buy Ali what would he have done with him?
Take Walcot for instance, he was meant to be the new kid on the block and he's achieved sweet FA under wenger.
Pochetino,as we all know, will make a decent prospect
into a great one.
