No, not the American boy band and neither is it "the end of the road" for our season, I'm talking about the transformation from a young talented side who struggled mentally and lacked maturity last season to a side full of grit, power and focus. We have finally grown up.
Yes we got beat in the semi final and will most probably miss out on the title but that is down to a lack of options off the bench. Chelsea have the likes of Fabregas and Willian on the bench we don't but hopefully this can be addressed in the summer.
After losing the semi final we faced a huge test of our resolve against a resurgent Palace side, previous Spurs sides would have lost this game for sure but we battled hard and won ugly.
After hearing that Chelsea had beaten an Everton side many of us thought they would struggle against, we brushed off the obvious disappointment and still came out with the bit between our teeth.
This Spurs side is made of granite now, We are so organised, we press so well, Hugo hardly had a save to make, We pulverised them. bullied them, ate them up and spat them out.
What a side we have at last. Proud isn't the word.

I was travelling back from seeing family so had to make do with radio five.
Sounds like we run out deserved winners today.
Danny mills said we were marginally better at end of the game. Didn't sound like that from commentary (green and mills). Does Danny not like us or was he right?

We were alright in the first half, had them on the ropes for about 15 mins and missed two clear chances.
Second half we got the goals and didn't give them a sniff. Fairly comfortable win.

That's what it sounded like in the car.

Blimey. Danny Mills must have been watching a different match to us.
We missed two sitters first half, we should have had another pen in the second and Cech made save after save to keep the score down. It wasn't close in the slightest.

I know mate. I formed my opinion listening to commentary from green and mills himself. Sounds to me like we were comfortably the better team and the the bellsniff says we were marginally better.

Vertoghen says he wants to take the next penalty kick Spurs get!

There was only ever going to be one winner today we made them look worse than what they are, it was all us from the off.

It saddens me that the legend Cech has to be a part of this dogshat team

Danny Mills went to the Harry Hotspur Correspondence and Commentary school unfortunately. The ciriculum works on the premise we are mid table fodder who occasionally have a half decent game but no real consistency despite finishing top 3rd of the table for years without spending hundreds of millions of pounds in the transfer market.

Agree with most of this - except we are never going to have options like Fabregas and Willian on the bench in the foreseeable future. There won't be big familiar names arrive this summer. The level of names I expect to be much the same as last summer. In fairness, the squad is fine. Just might need to replace a few outgoers.
