Bottlers

As previously stated I didn't catch the game at the weekend however you can imagine my lack of surprise to catch up on the result and see that once again United had blown a great opportunity to move into second place and put ourselves into a strong position for the playoffs.

To only draw 2-2 at home to Dumbarton - and to be lucky to do so - tells a story about where we are as a club. With Falkirk throwing away points earlier in the day the players should have been fired up to snatch the chance to go second and give ourselves a break and force Falkirk and Morton to play each other twice before facing ourselves. Instead we are faced with a dress rehearsal at Cappielow this weekend ahead of our games the following week. I suspect it's too much to ask that Falkirk will again drop points (they play Dumbarton away), and I have no faith that we would capitalise anyway.

At least the playoffs are priced well at £12. I suspect I'll only need to pay it once rather than three times.

I'm hugely disappointed once again by United.

i feel that way POV, that if they got up then it would be pure luck rather than anything else, dragging themselves up to go right back down.

Dumbarton have been in better form over the last 10 games than Utd so maybe Dumbarton bottled it?

I know we've been told that there isn't a great deal of difference between the top of the championship and the SPFL....

But I would still worry for Utd. They seem to lack consistency.

I went to the St Mirren v Raith game as I had said I would. St Mirren absolutely blew Raith away.

How you beat them is beyond me with the way you are playing these days

With this team we'd go back down. I don't think we've improved since last season so I can't see how we'd survive.

Obviously we would recruit in the summer and we don't know who we'd bring in, but we would need at least 6 signings who would all need to be hits, and that would just be to stay up.

And sadly knowing our luck we would be less likely to sign hits, more likely to sign ti... Never mind.

I was lucky enough to miss the match, I was doing a concert on Saturday night which meant I couldn't go. I had to rely on text updates from my dad - seemed to be the same old - they were more up for it than we were which, frankly, should be ridiculous. Except it's the case every week now. Utd think they should just be able to stroll through matches. Add into the mix that Big Willie is suspended just now which means Donaldson was playing... Murray is also suspended for the match on Saturday so hopefully that should help us up front.

Ivan - how was Bologna? Did you eat your body weight in mortadella?

We were all over them for half an hour, had a number of chances to be a few ahead. They score and suddenly we are a completely different team up until the last 10-15 minutes. Dumbarton should have won.
It's like when a boxer gets caught and the legs go, we can't do even the simplest form of football properly.
Incompetent, mentally weak and can't handle any form of adversity, which is the case at boardroom level also.
Until there is wholesale change at the club it will be like Groundhog day every game.

Border, really enjoyed it.

It was fecking cold though, so had to eat my body weight at each meal just to warm myself up.

The food was genuinely tremendous although I wasn't a huge fan of the local wine.
