Wow, that was poor by Spurs tonight. West Ham had a game plan, defended resolutely and got a well deserved win but we just didn't turn up today.
You know its a bad day at the office when the usually rock solid Alderweireld almost's gifts them one.
There's bound to be some on here that will call us bottlers tonight. Did we bottle it against Arsenal or Palace? NO. or any of the last 9 games where we have steam rollered the opposition. This excellent Spurs side has just come off the back of a nine game winning run.
Our away form must improve next season and we need to perhaps find a new style of playing because we seem too content on trying to draw out the opposition and not going for the throat like we do at the lane.
We just didn't turn up today, apart from Wanyama every player was off their game. I cant remember Dele and Kane in particular being so ineffective in possession. We hardly created a chance all game.
West Ham have won their cup final but they are a million miles away from us. Id be more furious being a West Ham fan thinking why cant my team play like on a consistent basis?
Chelsea were never going to slip up even if we won. They haver more experience than us and a certain Hazard who wins them games out of nothing. A Hazard type player is the one ingredient we lack.
Lets remain proud of this excellent Spurs side.
We aint bottlers.

It's not a bottle job but we are the nearly men of English football. Promise so much and give everyone hope but always fail at the last hurdle. We just don't do trophies unfortunately certainly not in my lifetime barely. Great team we have but this team will never be remembered unless we win something.

The word bottle is used incorrectly on this place every day
Fair play to spurs for at least keeling touch with Chelsea very good side who will continue to improve
Keeping touch with a club who have spent so much more on players deserves credit, spurs have built a team that is competitive at the top of the league while spending very little in comparison to teams around them

Appreciate this mate. We are taking a huge amount of stick for being the best challengers with the smallest budget of the teams around us. (I know this gets mentioned a lot but it's a more than fair point).
Half the people saying we bottled it just say it to wind us up, the other half genuinely mis-use the term.
