Charlie Taylor refusing to play

If true it's disgraceful.

GM: "Charlie is a great lad who has been badly advised." #lufc

Taylor's decision stinks to high heaven of his agent being worried that he'll get an injury and will miss out on his cut of the deal Taylor gets.

Taylor should have put club before greed.

If true, what a terrible shame.

Remember many (including me) felt very concerned when we sold Warnock to Derby, at the idea of losing someone so solid at left-back. There were also a few who stood up for Taylor and assured us it would be alright. They were spot on. And some. He was fantastic. And one of ours.

But you can understand how he lost his confidence and belief in the club, when he was (reputedly) offered a new, but very underwhelming, contract - thanks MC. Notwithstanding that he's been advised badly ever since.

And now, one wonders about refusing to play.

- if he simply refused to play, as Monk reportedly said, then I would be for sacking him on Monday morning. Doesn't refusing to do what you're paid to do equate to gross misconduct? Yes, probably WBA would sign him the next day so he wouldn't lose out, but it would be statement. Then again, does sacking him mean we would waive our right to the 'development' fee or whatever it's called? So, maybe a rather expensive statement. Sod it; he should be sacked.

- but if he mitigated it in some way, or asked rather than demanded, or simply raised the subject with Monk and nothing more, then I'd query why it's being portrayed as being something much worse and ask, if it really did come from Monk, why is he blowing it all out of proportion?

Whichever way is the truth, sad to see a talent - and a home-grown one at that - leave the club.

Disgraceful and a kick in the teeth to the fans who have supported him, his manager, his team mates and the club.

In sure Karma will prevail down the line.

The fact that you consider £4 million to be a significant amount of money just shows how long you've been out of the top flight!

Where did anyone say it's a significant amount.

Sounds about right to be fair, and considering him over his entire time at Leeds I'd say it's more than enough
