What do you lot think on this signing?
Personally, I think he's a decent player. Worth 18mill? No way, but then again that's what you get with young English talents.
But what will happen to him within the first few seasons? He's 19 now, been playing week in - week out with Blackburn, surely he won't want to sit on the bench for the next couple of seasons, around 20ish is when, in my opinion, players need game time in order to improve.
Do you think he'll be picked ahead of Smalling when Rio or Vidic are injured or a bench warmer for now?

As a few have already stated on different threads, he may play more games as a defensive midfielder over the next few seasons, before being dropped back to the centre back position.

Better than Smalling and Evans. I really rate Jones, he could do a good job for you in midfield as well. Can't be worse than Carrick. Certainly must better value for money than Henderson.
