TRue bob however, a 20-1 placed horse is still a success in my book and i totally agree to respond to a very difficult challenge with 16-1 winner was astonishing.

As a reader of your previous article and someone who backed degs, striker and bob caseys tips, i echo your call for people to pick winners from 10/1 or above.

Not tipping this (so don’t run down to your local bookie chappies, regular readers) but to my eye the most interesting runner, by far, today is Mr Henderson’s Restless D’Artaix up at old Aintree (6.00). Currently 10.9/1 on Betfair but shorter with the more conventional bookie chappies.
Restless D’Artaix has been off the course for 825 days (27 months in old money) and never ran beyond 17 furlongs (tonight’s race is 25 furlongs). Some of his form looks good though – his beating of The Package, off level weights, in particular.

The Channon yard has done reasonably well with maidens so let's have a go with Captain Cardington in the 3-25 at sandown - currently 14s with Bet 365.
