What a home season for Spurs. Take a bow!

Won Last 14 games, a PL club record
First Unbeaten home league season since 1964-65.
Looking at that record it's probably as good as it's going to get for them. With them moving to Wembley Stadium next season there is no way that they are going to have a season like that there. Other teams are going to be up for playing away at Wembley but also the other side of the coin is teams might freeze there and fall by the wayside.
Personally I think that they are going to struggle at home next season. I know recently they won a league cup final there but the last season they were so poor there. Could that be down to the change of pitch dimensions which gives opponents more space, so is it harder for the
Spurs back line to defend?
It's going to be interesting to see what their first 5-6 home games are because if they have a couple of the top 6 there and lose their home games surely the curse of Wembley would be played up more by the media and fickle fans like me Don't get me wrong I think Spurs will be in the mix and will do okay, but I just don't think they will do as well at home this season so it will be a struggle to finish top, and who knows who might come in for Kane this summer. (If I was Man UTD, I would see him as a perfect player for them to sign and build a team around. Rashford and Kane upfront would help them bring back entertaining football back to Old Trafford).
**Side note I want to apologise for my negativity posting last week on some threads. I thought Liverpool were going to wilt under pressure. Although I really didn't know West Ham had such injury problems to their midfield. So I will hold my hands up and say sorry I was one of those that were pressing the panic button!

That really is a spectacular home record. 9 goals conceded all season is great.
Wembley must be a worry because they're not going to do better than this season you wouldn't have thought. Even matching it would be a tremendous effort.

I like how it looks when it's laid out like this:
WDWWDWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Yes, yes, I know it's not a trophy...
But that's a great achievement to deliver that in the final ever season at WHL.
Congrats to Leicester and Liverpool for being the only teams to come away with something.

On the flip side I expect our away form to improve next season

Fair play, you couldn't have asked for a better final season at your stadium. I now live in hope that you can match this seasons 'home' form whilst you were in the CL π

We have been phenomenal at home this year, so close to a perfect record.
Wembley? It will be hard to get close. To be fair, it would be hard to get close if were back at WHL.
An interesting fact (to me anyway) is that the 10 goals we have conceded at Wembley this season have come from only 13 opposition shots on target. We have actually played well there for the last couple, in particular Chelsea, a game I have no idea how we lost so heavily.
I think a pre-season there, plus a charity shield game (probably) should set us up. Once the players familiarise themselves with the sight lines of the stadium I expect us to settle.
The two closest sides to us have European football next year too, yourselves and Chelsea, so we will all have a bit of a hindrance.

Apparently changing the dimensions of the wembley pitch is an option. The new stadium will have the same dimensions so we might as well get use to it.

Really enjoyed watching them play this season. Hopefully, they'll maintain their form at Wembley next season. The PL is always more exciting the more teams are in the title challenge.
