Dirk Kuyt

Retired two days after winning the title for Feyenoord.

Probably one of my favourite footballers ever. Incredible energy, love of the game and - whatever anyone tells you - his end product wasn't bad either. Scored so many big goals for us - Inter Milan, Cardiff, Everton several times, the United hat-trick - but it was his superhuman effort that made him a hero. Shame he couldn't win more here, but he went on to win leagues at Fenerbahce and Feyenoord, so he got the success he deserved in the end.

Massively underrated when he was with us under Rafa. Before this obsession with pressing that most teams now use we were doing it coupled with getting it forward quickly from defence. Kuyt was essential to that on the right. He made everyone follow his lead. I've never seen a footballer with so much energy and fitness.

Tevez, Suarez , Kante , Scott Parker ..... just to name a few players that I would say we're just as energetic and tenacious

Great way to retire. Not throwing a dig here but was that just first league title?

Very good player. Not the most gifted but made the most of what he had and gave it his all. Stuffed us a couple of times too.

Won the league with Fenerbahce in 2013-14 as well.

None of them even close, especially Parker.

I personally think he was a tad overrated and overplayed, however he was a devoted servant to Liveprool Club and would love to see him come back in some capacity in the future.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him at the match on Sunday.

And by all accounts, he's a really nice guy too.

He is going to join the technical staff at Feyenoord. He's is going to take over DoF from Martin v Geel.
