Tonight's disaster just highlights again what we have known for a long time - that this squad has a chronic lack of strength in depth.
We have a strong starting XI but if 2 or 3 of those are missing, we have little or nothing in back up.
Benalouane has looked good beside Huth but tonight shows that he is not a lead CB. None of our CB's have looked particularly convincing this season and this is one position where we must strengthen next season. Amartey adds very little in any position he plays in and I'm becoming increasingly convinced that he won't make it at this level. Slimani still flatters to deceive and Musa variates between several levels of uselessness.
Two poor transfer windows have left us with a brittle, threadbare squad. This is a huge summer for the club; a third bad window could leave us with another uphill task next season.
No strength in depth

We did only play with 10 men tonight, Mahrez is already playing for his next Club.

Totally agree.
We have a few injuries, but look what it left us with:
Benalouane has done ok covering for Morgan, but he's only really a back up CB.
We had to play a left back as the other CB rather than risk Was or Amartey.
Chilwell is promising, but is still learning.
Amartey isn't yet good enough for midfield and you can see why he's third choice.
Ndidi is a brilliant prospect, but is still a kid.
Realistically our first choice squad won us the league, but our second choice squad wouldn't keep us up.

The heart was ripped out of our team tonight Huth, Morgan and King

Whilst I agree and we need a good transfer window, we are owed one that's for sure. Lets not forget Spurs had a similar result to this last season at a relegated Newcastle. Injuries plus nothing to play for and it leads to the disater we saw tonight.

Yes, but we countered that by playing Sissoko!
