Islam Feruz

Don't know much about this guy but this summer it seemed to be the biggest worst kept secret signing, the latest development seems to be this from his agent.

Supposed to be decent (aren't they all?) and Celtic were dissapointed to be losing him, of course he is only 16 and no where near the finished article necessarily but another promising youngster acquired it seems.

Maybe some of our Socttish friends can share some info on him.

A lot can happen to a promising kid, he could be the next JT or Jodie Morris

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Speaking of Jody Morris I remember once seeing him at Volts nightclub in Kingston on a weeknight when he was a Chelsea player back in 98/99.

He was absolutely hammered and could barely stand up straight. I recognised him and went up to say hi saying that I was a Chelsea fan etc.

He couldn´t have given less of a toss and mumbled a couple of words back to me.

Needless to say I was quite happy that Chelsea shipped him out shortly afterwards.

Didn't think there was any difference between John Terry and Jodie Morris

Well I´ll spell it out to you then seeing as you seem to be a bit intellectually challenged.

Terry is the one who is both Chelsea and England Captain and the one who has won 3 Premierships, 3 FA Cups and 2 League Cups to his name.

I'll humour Giggs love child a little further.

Morris and Terry were bith young promising youngsters at the same time, Morris arguably getting more of the plaudits, Terry made it, Morris didn't, hope that helps and say hi to your dad/uncle for me.

Islam Feruz picking Chelsea is his luck. I am wary of all these "new tags". IMO, he'd have been better off staying at Celtic and learning first.

Anyone remember Liam Miller? He was alluded to be the new rOY kEANE , i even fell for the hype. Liam Miller rurned out to be a damp squib who now plays in the superior league in the world - down in Australia

Totally agree U9741, you can never be sure, but it is good to take the chance now and again.

As an aside, did you sink uncle Albert during the war?

Yes, we know what you meant but if we referred to all your players that have been toerags in the past we'd spend more time trading insults than dscussing.

Big difference betweeen a kid who has just turned 16 and signed to play in the youth team for a minimal fee and Liam Miller who was expected to play first team football for Man Utd and was already in his 20s.

Nobody is labelling Feruz the 'next' anything. He will be another youngster at Chelsea. Will he make it to the first team? the chances are slim, but it's worth building up a good youth side and hopefully unearthing at least 1 or 2 potential first team players every few years.

Agree with KDL, the more youths brought in the more likely well get a few who are good enough for the first team eventually
