Roberto Mancini says he is hopeful of having Gareth Barry back in the squad for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Napoli.
City take their first steps into European football's top club competition this week when they entertain Serie A opposition at Eastlands, with most expecting a big performance.
Mancini will want his experienced players to be available and, having sat out the 3-0 win over Wigan, England international Barry is expected to come back into the fray.
The City boss is concerned though with the prospect of fatigue playing a part, with some of his players preparing for a fourth game in 13 days following the recent international fixtures.
Mancini revealed: "We have no other injury problems but they are so tired as they all played two games for their national teams and we need to recover in the next three days."
