yesterday.
Yes, from a Chelsea's fans perspective we were poor, with too many of our players well below par.
But I have spent season after season never fearing Arsenal as an opponent for having a soft underbelly, having no fight, not being physical enough in games, poor game management, not pressing well enough, lacking leaders in the team etc etc etc.
Yesterday they did all the things that they never usually do and I was very unpleasantly surprised.
Also, special shout to Per Mertesacker, it was an amazing performance and just showed how good he must have been when in his prime.

Arsenal could smell blood from the very start. Think they had a massive boost when they realised we just weren't up to it and some of our players were on holiday
They should have put that game to bed in the first half and didn't, if not for the red card that could have proved very costly to them. Still no question Arsenal deserved it on the day and are worthy champions

No - we're the worthy Champions!
They're the worthy FA Cup winners!
Sad to say!

Really disappointed with our performance. Off course Arsenal played very well and were up for it yesterday. Also, don't forget our players looked tired and sluggish. Think only Costa and Azpi looked like trying, the rest were well below par.
Chelsea definitely need upgrades for fb positions, two midfielders and a top notch striker regardless of whether Costa leaves or stays.

Yup the squad definitely needs strengthening this summer and had we won the Double I'm not at all convinced that would have happened with the danger of complacency setting in.
This way we get to be Champions of England as well as the board getting a kick up the backside to remind them that significant money still needs to be spent on players this summer. So in a way thanks Arsenal. Oh and Wenger will stay as an added bonus

We are champions of England but we have lost 7 times this season which is a lot and leaves a lot of room for improvement and I think Chelsea should have started with two strikers upfront with one striker playing behind the striker and at other times two strikers linking with one another and we should have used 3-5-1-1 or 3-5-2 formation.

Yesterday was the first time I saw Ozil tracking back and putting in an aggressive sliding tackle .

Thank you OP for you honest words.
We had a dream day yesterday. Couldnt ask for more. We really played you out of Wembley the first half. The scoreline flatters you but a win is a win.
Not many gave us any chance to win against you lot but we did it in style and in a manner which was suprising the media, fans and experts.
So happy ending for us Gunners to an all in all miserable season.

"Arsenal not getting enough credit for yesterday"
And then to go on and say how poor Chelsea were.
Praise indeed...

Respect to the op. We seemed really up for it yesterday and I think all the players knew that if we had lost, Wenger would have been crucified.
It's funny that our other stand out performance of the season was also against Chelsea at the Emirates.
Also, why doesn't William start for you guys more often? Such an efficient player

Cheers OP. Actually felt like we won the game on our own merit rather than coming up against a poor side. Nice to know it's not just Arsenal bias from me!
You were unlucky with the first goal but as has been alluded to, we should have had a few more anyway.
