The Passion of Wenger

To see this man pumping the players in the tunnel, even in the build up to the game making the players believe they could do it, I have to give it to the man. We were the underdogs and deservedly so but what a bitter sweet moment because I keep thinking, why did we not see this in February?

For some, there is no better time for him to leave and we all know his short comings but I think there has been more to this than we think behind the scenes in terms of the relationship with the board. He was wounded by the lack of backing and Gazidis' comments did not go down well with him either. The board and PR at Arsenal did not do anything to quash the unrest and that to some extent impacted on the players. No excuses for the perfomances they put in but the wrath of the fans was like no other in the PL.

Gazidis has to go, I cant think of any noteworthy thing he can say and he is a yes man. We need someone with David Dein's shrewdness and not these nearly signed stories published. He is more suited to the MLS and like the rest of the board, he are out of touch with reality. The lack of ambition starts with him as I believe I have never heard of a players paying tribute to anyone in the current board as to why they joined the club like they did Wenger and Dein, ala Ozil, Bergkemp, Wright, Sol

As for Wenger, to see him so uncertain about the his future in public, is not a good indicator for me. Not because i want him to stay or go but because of how the club has handled his situation. There is no idication that who ever may come in will have the backing he will need to take this club further. Even ex players like Tony Adams think they stand a better chance at managing this club, no chance with Kroenke and co.

Whatever the outcome on Tuesday, I will remember this as Wenger's final it just meant a lot to him and he thoroughly deserved it. Its good to have a sleepless night because of a cup final win. Take a bow son
