So to cut a long story short, I maneuvered a move nearer my 'team' since I was a kid (Aston Villa) from down south, now that the kids are bit bigger could dedicate more time to it. So moved to the area kind of (solihull) and as I've always done went to a few of the local team's games. Shock horror I actually prefer going to the 'national league' games more, than going to Villa (its not a success thing or anything as the Moors were in a relegation scrap). So I can only get one season ticket, will I be forgiven for going 'national league' for a year with the odd villa game? Feels like I'm cheating on the mrs or something.

Get used to it...Villa will be playing similar standard soon

It would be interesting to know why you prefer going to Solihull Moors, rather than Villa.
I can see a possible attraction, in the sense of relaxing watching a game of football without too much at stake. There's so much more hanging on every Villa game. But that comes with the territory.

Its actually quite relaxing, theres the usual ups and downs (bit like when you walk past a footy game in the park and just start to watch), you can stand or sit down, the stewards aren't annoying. You can just watch footy the way you want to. Then there is also the 'tight git' in me whereby you pay double at the villa and is the footy anymore entertaining? But its nice that I haven't been condemned to purgatory for my current conundrum. Its true about the 'not having much at stake' as when Villa play (win or lose) watching some of the footy is hard going, and it ruins my mood for a while. I'm not being a snob either, as I've been to a few prem games last season, a few at anfield I felt nothing when I went, even though Liverpool won well on all occasions. Maybe I should seek councilling or something.

Villa are irrelevant. Stick to the mighty Solihull Moor, although Kiddy's Harriers are better

If we did go down that far we would still have achieved more than Arsenal ever will

Phew, I'm just glad I didn't get shot down for my perceived sin.

I did that once in Rectory Park in Sutton when I was walking the neighbour's dog. I'd let the pooch off the leash to go chase some squirrels in the trees, and when HT came I realised she was gone. After searching for half an hour I rang my friends up and they said the dog was home already.

I've been to loads of games at Villa and Wolves over the years and felt nothing emotionally even though I enjoyed the games. It's normal.
