Real Madrid to bid £100m

For Eden Hazard. Also, It is a believed RM had a bid of £60m rejected for DDG.

Anyway, so it begins........... doubt the club will accept their initial bid of £100m

Why are RM doing this just before their crucial CL final ?

What sort of money will Chelsea realistically get for him ?

Ps.The club will consider selling only if Hazards wants to leave

no reason at all for you to accept £100m for hazard...once every selling club knows you are flush with cash, which player(s) are you going to get for £100m to make up for that loss?

Andy Carroll?

with £5m left over to boot.

but if we agree that hazard is world class there aren't that many players that can replace him, and most of those are either a) ungettable or b) unproven in the PL.

£100m doesn't mean you get neymar, and may not even mean you can get mbappe, so it's more likely you end up overpaying for lukaku (£85m or so) and have enough left for a reserve GK.

It's easy to make up a story. Sky just did it a couple of hours ago, the Sun is doing the same now.

Just madness, think Everton looking for £100m to sell Lukaku, not sure any club would be daft enough to pay this sort of money.

I'd say Monaco will probably sell Mbappe for over £100m though

If Hazard wants to leave this summer, 100mil is about right.

Would be far from the end of the world if he left. Conte's preferred system is 3-5-2, and Hazard can't play in it. If that money, plus 80mil for Costa + the unspent Oscar money went towards two star wing backs on either side + two star strikers whose games complement each other, we'll be even stronger than this season despite losing Hazard.

Ifs & buts yes, but my point is scenario's exist where losing Hazard wouldn't be a problem

As if we'd sell Hazard for peanuts like £100m lol

Nick

If we can win the league playing a formation Conte pretty much draw up overnight (to benefit Hazard the most of any player in it), going to the formation Conte knows inside out even if it meant losing Hazard can't be a bad thing.

Depends how much faith you have in Conte or the influence a manager/tactics can have in general. I personally think if we invested in the right places, we'd cope without Hazard better than people think.

I think Chelsea will only consider selling, if Hazard makes a fuss about it, but not for that price. To find and adequate replacement would cost more with the way the transfer market is going at the moment.

Look for example at Lukaku who Everton are looking to receive no.less than £100m for him !! There is no way Lukaku is worth the same fee as Hazard.
