All we know is that Costa acted liked a baby by releasing the text to the public and showed disloyalty and immaturity

the part o haven't seen any detail on is the 'flippant' text that costa supposedly sent to conte between the two messages from the coach. the way I read the article, this message from costa was either responded to by conte in an equally flippant manner, possibly as a bit of a joke, or angered yr manager enough to make up his mind that costa was finished for him.

however it has happened, I can't believe that costa being surplus to requirements was news to player, club or manager. so yes, the player has acted unprofessionally in using that private text to try to further his own ends. but in reality, it won't affect in the slightest the fee that Chelsea get for him. when a club with the power and wealth of Chelsea agree to let any of their players who are under contract leave then it is obvious that player is not in the manager's pans anyway. otherwise they'd just say no to a move.

for me all this incidence highlights is that costa is a manipulative, untrustworthy character...but tbf his behaviour on the pitch does that every week.
