But we also have Christensen coming back as well.

Sign VVD and we would need to move at least two of the present six on!

Without CB signing, I think two will be moved anyway (likely to be Ake sold & Zouma loan).
Due to very limited playing time.

None of the 6 will be happy playing bit-part roles.
6 Cb's seems excessive for three spots.

I'm fine with: Luiz, Azpi, Christensen, Cahill or Ake and Clarke-Salter (as he will accept bit-part role) going into next season.

Fikayo as well - no doubt one of two, of him and Clarke Salter, will be sent out on loan though, or possibly both!

My preference is Clarke-Salter just for the mere fact that he's a left-footed CB (who has much more experience playing left-sided CB in a three) and height advantage over Fikayo.

Ake leaving which I suspect is going to happen, means no left-footers at CB.
Luiz & Christensen good with both but natural right.

I can see Ake, going back to Bournmouth permanently.

Bournemouth will have competition from Southampton & Stoke, according to the Telegraph.

Southampton probably best option for Ake, looking at former players Bertrand & Romeu playing week in week out excelling and have better chance of European qualification.

He is better and more complete than any of them, he's 25 (soon to be 26), a leader, comfortable in a 3 or 4 man defense, basically a Vincent Kompany in good form. The player that will take the team to a higher level.
