Goals next season

Morata is expected to sign within days. Now, I'm not convinced in his abilities but many on here have said that whilst he wont get the goals Ibra did, he brings movement that will see others score.

So, if we set up with the following, how many goals are we expecting from each player ?

Herrera DM Pogba

Mhikii Morata Perisic

Real are holding out for £70m for MoratA. Inter want £45m for Perisic. Fabinho is rated at £40m. Everyone is overpriced. But when you pay £30m for Lindelof then the prices above seem fair

There is a difference between preferring a player over another than to actually think we will realistically get him

I do have to admit that I'm not exactly bowled over by the prospect of the Morata signing - probably more down to my lack of in-depth knowledge of his strengths/weaknesses, but reality is, there are very few realistic targets that i can think of apart from him. I know even less of Belotti, and I don't go with those who think we can just start the new campaign hoping Rashford is the answer at his age and Martial can somehow find that form that disappeared so dramatically last season. I do think the prices quoted for both Belotti and Morata are way too high but its the position we find ourselves in. Kane would be ideal by the way but I'm not even sure he would find us an appealing proposition at the moment!

Nicely put mate. Pretty much what I've been thinking about our striker scenario options. It's not that there isn't any available, but more to the point of realistic ones that would 'fit in' realistically. And in these options there isn't much available/suitable for us - which leaves us with choices like Morata.

Here is each players record scoring seasons:
Mkhitaryan - 25 (in 2012), 11 (2014)

Herrera- 6 (2014) 5 (2013)
Morata - 15 (2017), 8 (2013)

I also think we're getting ahead of ourselves including Morata, Peresic and Fabinho in most articles as 'nailed on' transfers.

Has there been any direct quotes or real links to them, other than paper stories? Even photos of our staff meeting the agents or players etc?

They are all at Carrington looking for directions around the place while reading snippets of The Daily Star. What can go wrong?!

We will soon change that! Gotta get them goals stats further down! No other club can transform attack minded players into goalless attackers like we can!

Bring it on i say!

Seriously though, if the transfers come off that's a combined £250m.

The Mkhi stat is in fecking Ukraine too.

Mkhi needs to step up next season. He has been too inconsistent - more poor than good. He has the ability in him to create lots of magic, and i'm sure next season he will get better.

Griezmann was a nailed on signing a couple of weeks ago!

Bayern - lewandowski
City - Augero
Arsenal - Sanchez
Barca - Suarez
Real - Ronaldo
Juventus - Higuain
PSG - Cavani
Dortmund - Aubaymang

All the top sides have a forward they rely on for 25 - 30 goals a season. Why should we be any different ?

Morata would not be another guaranteed failure, but my money would go on that possibility being greater than 50:50.

as for the others in the OPs list, only mkhit and pogba are any good. And to compound that, herrera is downright, unmitigated, cack.

without an ibra type player (or two) united will really, really struggle.
