What are we thinking of it lads? For the first time in six years I'm actually gonna buy a Call of Duty game. They've finally scrapped the stupid soldiers flying in the air and climbing the walls like Spider-Man.
They've listened to the fan base and gone back to the basics that made the franchise so successful. It's looking like a proper world war game, and I really like the look of it. World at War was a beast game. Link to the multiplayer trailer is below, I don't get why there's so many negative comments tbh.

I didn't know they took them out, any reason why?

I think I read they're using the excuse that the symbol is banned in some European countries, again a bit of a joke.

To be fair, there were moans of COD being samey around the time they released World at War (awesome game) and that's when I think they decided to go down the modern/futuristic route, but may have over done it in recent years.

The swastika is outlawed in Germany, games have had to remove them before like in Enemy Territory and RTCW.

Looks good.
I just hope you have to earn the good guns and attachments rather than basically being given them from the start. It ruined the sense of achievement.

100% agree.
I also liked the fact on WaW the guns were relatively easy to level up, yet prestiging was a longer process that wasn't made easier by earning achievements which that gave you a tonne of points for doing nothing really (1000 kills with smgs etc..)
I remember to prestige on that game you used to cycle through each of the guns to max them out before moving onto the next gun, rather than just keeping the same gun for ages cause you had to get a stupid amount of achievements to max it.
It just made the game more fun

Looks decent, the fact they took Swastika's out of the multiplayer is a bit of a joke though.

no way. more PC bullsh!t creeping into games
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's ridiculous and more sad evidence of daft political correctness. By banning the swastika you only empower it as a symbol.

It's good that they've brought COD back to a world war setting as really that's where it originated and probably where it belongs.
Hopefully this will lead to World at War being remastered as it's arguably the best COD game we've seen up until now. Not that many people played it as it was very much overshadowed by Modern Warfare 1 on release.
Still not as good as Battlefield though
