Could also be that Barça are just exercising the buyback clause because market inflation means there's an immediate profit to be made in selling him on.

Sorry, Arouna - not sure what that means. Is whatever you're referring to a UEFA/FIFA rule, or something to do with the PL (in which case, of course, it wouldn't apply to Barça)?

I've seen similar cases before in Spain, such as Real Madrid re-purchasing Negredo (from Almería I think it was) just to sell him on to Sevilla in the same window.

I was under the impression that you could only make one permanent transfer a season...then two loans.

So Jerry could move back to Barca, then out on loan for half a season at two different clubs. good luck to the lad, great talent with a work ethic that needs coaching

Happened to Demichelis too before his sale to City

Not checked back, but I think Demichelis was a case of Atlético signing him on a free and then getting a €5M offer for him from City. I might be mistaken though, my memory isn't all that good.

Arouna, I don't know about that, tbh. When did the full Deulofeu transfer from Barça to you go through? If - just as an example - it was on the 15th of August last year, then surely all they'd have to do would be to sign the next transfer on 16th August this year?

Not checked back, but I think Demichelis was a case of Atlético signing him on a free and then getting a €5M offer for him from City. I might be mistaken though, my memory isn't all that good.

You are allowed three moves in 12 months, so Jerry will have no problem moving back and then being sold.

I thought some rule was in place, but it's not. Jerry has been with us for two seasons(6 months on loan)so can move in this year
