Its worth noting that TC didn't seem to gave the best grasp of Englisg syntax and phrasing, so he could have meant a number of things by do our best.

Will read more into the signings we make and players we keep than anything. Today hasn't really awayed me either way.

Who gives a sh!t right now, let's just crack on and see which players they bring in and how the team plays this season.

I don't think that TC saying that he hopes to be better than 7th is that important. If he'd said we're going to get promoted, people would call him arrogant. If he said he was expecting to finish lower than last season, he'd have been hung out to dry by all. I think he just took the safest path in what he said.

I do agree though that there are a lot of warning signs popping-up at the moment, not least of which (in my opinion) is that we have a new manager who hasn't experienced the toughness of the Championship before.

Like all Leeds fans I hope for the best, but am personally expecting this season to be a brutal learning curve for this new guy unless he's backed-up by some really decent new signings. We over-achieved last season with the squad we had. Fail to improve that squad and we're potential relegation fodder.

New signings will be the key for sure. When we see the calibre of these new additions only then can we really start to see if we have real intent or not and not picking at the wording at a press conference.

I want to see the signings .

Apoel were favourites to win, were not.

Could be he's just cautious in what he says but I would expect consistency of message from owner and manager and at this time I would like to see some leadership from AR in terms of telling what the plan is rather than leave people to speculate.

It's not rocket science, you need the fans fully behind you, you want that then engage with them, share what you're going to do and share how they can support that so that they take ownership for their part.

I think this is even more important when you've made what you know and admit as being a low key appointment, both Orta and TC have said TC not appointed for his name.

Only reasons not to share plan is because you haven't got one yet or you think it won't go down well.

couple decent results and fans will be fully behind, most are regardless.

like you said, its clear to see we are doing a boro where the chairman has said 'were here to smash this league'

pressure on Monk is huge to succeed.

we will properly understand what the aim is when we see who we sign.

We're still all in hopeful mode I guess at the moment.

Who we sign as you say will hopefully provide a clue to our expectation levels.
