Any truth to the rumours? Both surplus to requirements at their respective clubs but not sure how they'd link up at Everton.

My thoughts too... He scores 8, last season, without any real runs in the side... More goals than most of our attackers.

Rooney is going on a free. Good deal for Everton.
Giroud has said he doesnt want to be second choice. Now Rooney is going to Everton it might put that deal in jeopardy. Giroud will be second choice at Arsenal if Lacazette is signed, so according to what he has said he has to go. Problem is if Rooney returns ot ebing a CF at Everton, Giroud will probably be second choice behind him. Its all down to what position Rooney plays.

I wouldn't sell Giroud because Welback won't play more than 20 games season as he is fragile. Selling Giroud would be big mistake. Perez should be sold if he isn't in Wenger's plan. (Unfortunate but practical ! he has been unlucky) Giroud has responded well recently when we needed goals plus he is effective in situations like holding up 1-0 lead against teams like Stoke et al.

Apart from selling shirts to 6 year olds, paying rooney any wages would be money down the drain. Utterly useless mercenary.
