The image of a sun-kissed Arsenal fan on a summer's day may strike most people as the picture of health.
But health experts claim that a golden glow may be more harmful than it appears, and they warn us that too many football fans are becoming sun tanned as people are increasingly abandoning sun cream. How can we display good sun protection behaviour? Is the sun harmful? Is sun cream safe?

I live and work in an expat community about 100 miles south of the equator. Lots of horror stories about people who thought they knew better.

The problem have is that I have an allergy to sweetcorn so cant use sun cream.
What has has sun cream got to do with sweetcorn? More than you could possibly realise. Sweetcorn is used in the perfume added to it and a number of the ingredients can be made from sweetcorn. But before I knew what it was that caused my symptoms I did a lot of research into the chemicals used in cosmetics and creams like this. The list of things they use is scrier than being out in the sun once you know what they are. Carciogenics, toxins, neuro-toxins, hormone inhibitors and other things are common ingredients. Google toxins in perfume and toxins in cosmetics as a starting point and look for yourselves.
Cancer rates are increasing despite a supposedly healthier lifestyle. Now you know why.

I find olive oil or vegetable oil works very well. It gives you that nice crispy brown glow of a chicken nugget
