It is a small world, ionly!I live in Peak District but my Aunt &
Uncle used to have Home Farm,High Street,Hatfield. Is it still there?

The one on same side as Victoria Hall which I believe is Home Farm has recently been sold, the farmer died but his ginger haired wife still lives in house. The farm is now a non working farm and has been renovated. The one accross the road with all the tractors is still there. There has been a fair bit of twoing and frowing in Hatfield this last year or two. The Blue Bell is up for Lease again 5 times in two years. Bay Horse is still nice and cosy but Merv and Ross have retired. Cross's gone. The IN Pub is Ingram Arms. yuk. Hope this helps even DRFC Hound lives in Hatty

Chippie went tooooooo many years ago, just like the barbers where I had my first hair cut 58 years ago. Chippie now a Charopodists (Spelling will probably be wrong), she of the ginger hair still ain't bad for her age. She is still about and as it is a small world I saw her yesterday in her 11 plate 4 x 4 . Talk about small world, it is getting smaller on this site and friends will always be friends. Think I would take The Peak Dist any time though. I get down there two or three times a year, just to get to those brilliant views and then The North Riding as well. Better than pit tips and pwer stations

ionly, i am reliably informed by she who knows all that the chippy wasnt where the chiropodists is.
Apparently it was on the opposite corner of Ivy Close, on the site of the bungalow that has recently been sold.
I wont argue with local knowledge of her standard.

Well Hound, I agree that she must not as I know to whom you refere. But I honestly cannot remember the chip shop. My leash would not stretch from Dunscroft after I got my hair cut at three years of age. ha ha. Beryl will be happy living on the site of a chippy
