I blame Pep. He has had his own views influenced by the anti Joe Hart press.

I remember City v Everton 2(?) seasons ago.
Lukaku (£70m striker) one-on-one with Hart, Joe manages to get a finger to it but it trickles in off the post.
Most would say Joe was unlucky - MOTD "Hart could have done better there, it looks like another mistake from the keeper"
Media bias? Meh.
Gareth Bale scores a FK in La Liga then it's brilliant and unstoppable, scores one against Hart and it's a goalkeeping error.

And you tell me that Pep had his opinion changed by what he reads in the press. Did he even assess him in training before discarding this top player.

City are overly media conscious, I honestly believe it was factor.

So Pep then went out and said net £30m in a goalkeeper who can't keep goal.
And because my media savvy they stuck with a goalkeeper who had lots of press negativity.

Pep is never going to admit he got it totally wrong.
You also have to consider the fact Pep must have taken advice off the 2 Spanish figures at the club who got him the job in the first place.

So Pep used the press and some Spanish guys as his judgement of a player. Never will have watched videos on him as a potential opponent while at Barca or Munich.
The question must be, is Pep that good then if he can discard a player like Hart

Time will tell.
I'm no fan of Soriano and Begiristain and I'm not totally convinced about Pep yet.
