Foyth farce sees him off to France?

Several reports today claiming that PSG have made the most of our dithering and agreed a deal to sign Foyth from Estudiantes.

Now admittedly I've not seen him play and I wasn't exactly delighted when I read somewhere that he'd probably be in our U23 rather than in our senior setup, but ffs if he's a player that Poch wants then just go and get the deal done. Β£9m or whatever is peanuts, less than the difference between finishing 2nd and 6th in the league considering its Β£2.5m per league place.

Levy sitting and waiting for more favourable exchange rates I suspect

Enough of this facking around in the transfer market, start acting like the club we want to be - a top club - and get on with things.

Eight,

PSG have deeper pockets and are in a position to do what Chelsea and City do, buy players to stop rivals having them. You only have to look at the numbers they have on loan to see how they operate.

Spurs can't compete at that level, it doesn't make business sense. West Ham's need for players is greater than ours, they bought because they needed to.

Have a read at this, http://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/372365.

What's the obsession with spending money for the sake of it or because West Ham and Palace have done it.

Don't think anyone on here is suggesting we buy for the sake of buying, we're saying that if there is a player that Poch wants - within reason - then we should try and get the deal done quickly.

Can't remember where, but I read that one of the holdups for us was because Estudiantes wanted a 'loan back' for next season as part of the deal, but we want to bring him over immediately.

Maybe PSG are perfectly happy to loan him back, and that could be all the difference. Every time a deal doesn't go through or there's a hold up we don't all need to assume it's Levy dithering or holding out until the last possible moment.

Five stars for the title alliteration alone.

Half of me thinks that without spending silly money we won't be able to improve our first 11, so what's the point

The other half thinks that we must have some targets, so if we do, why don't we just get them done?

Succession planning. Our existing players aren't going to play forever so we need to get players onboard who can be ready for when the likes of Vertonghen and Dembele are on the decline
