Was Wenger telling lies?

"The decision has been made and we will stick to that," Wenger said of Sanchez.

"The decision is not to sell

Of course he was ffs!

Is Coutinho off to Barca? that would kill Liverpool
-------------------------------
Got 6 weeks to see, one things for sure he won't be going cheap, it'll take upwards of £90m.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
£90m for a player that turns up once every 10 games...

Don't watch much of us do you?

£90m for the player who was voted the best Brazilian in Europe last year.

Involved in more league goals than the world class Er'zil last season.

The facts suggest Wenger wasn't lying.
Maybe a bid upward of £90m will affect the decision though.

For once I think Wenger is telling the truth. Alexis will stay imo

Tbh I think keeping Alexis is the easier of the options for Arsenal and Wenger.

Selling him would be one thing. Selling him without replacing him with your number one target - and with Monaco looking like they won't budge over Lemar, that could be a real possibility - wouldn't just undermine the manager's words, but the whole operational aspect of the club.

Alexis is staying.

As is Lemar.

Getting 70mil for Sanchez means we can just cough up Monaco's asking price (as we should have already). I'll not be amused if we miss out Lemar through penny pinching, in the same window as putting in 100+ mil bids for an 18 year old. The best option here is pay Monaco what they want to secure Lemar and sell Sanchez. In that order unless we want Monaco demanding another 10 mil because they know Sanchez is gone.

Apparently Mendy to Chelsea is going through. Surely makes Lemar signing for us even more unlikely now?

*Sorry, Mendy to City

PSG only offered £35m. Likely amount with only a season left. So where do these 50m, 70m, 90m figures come from?
