I actually think we're doing the right thing with lansbury for once. Keeping denilason, vela, eastmond etc at the club on the bench didn't exactly help their development. West ham are a good championship team and all you need to do is look at the players they've brought through and you can see he's at a club that will aid his development and be a strong partr of our squad i believe

I am very pleased that he has signed a new contract and
will stay at club.

He may not be an automatic choice for 1st X1, but he will
make a good squad player in future with a commitment to club, which some of the overseas players on our books have not displayed.

I really like Lansbury. He always gives 100% and is having a great purple patch with England U21 and W.Ham. He should be a squad player at Arsenal this season getting sub appearances.

Wenger has not given him many chances at Arsenal. I don't think that he rates him very highly.

He has extended his contract so that we do not lose him on a "Free" after a great season with West Ham.
