HC League 2017-18 Round 1

The time has come to launch this seasons competition. Just to remind any newcomers, I'll explain what goes on. Please read the rules so that there's no confusion.

It will run for the whole season and has 40+ rounds. It only includes Championship matches. Most rounds will have all 12 matches covering Friday through Monday. Other rounds will include the matches on a Tuesday. Wednesday and a Thursday.

PRIZES ARE THE SAME AS LAST SEASON:-

1st = 50 quid in Amazon vouchers
2nd = 30 quid in Amazon vouchers
3rd = 10 quid in Amazon vouchers

The rules are very simple, just select your predictions for each round and post them.

So firstly, here is the points system for this seasons competition:-

Correct SCORE:-

Draw 6 points, Away win 5 points, Home win 4 points

Correct RESULT:-

Draw 3 points, Away win 2 points, Home win 1 point

10 jokers are available for the whole season and can be used at any time during the 40+ rounds. MAXIMUM amount of jokers for any round will be restricted to up to 3. Correct scores will be x3 points and correct results x2 points when jokers are used.

At the end of each month, the player/s with the most correct results for that month will be awarded 10 bonus points. Those with the second highest correct results 5 points and those with the third highest 2 points.

If any poster thinks he'll miss a round or two (i.e. vacation etc) then I'm willing to post the rounds they'll be away, in advance, thus they won't miss any. So, without any further ado, here are the 12 matches for this round, played between Friday 4th August and Sunday 6th:-
