We need a CM!!!!

Seri is being suggested and there might be something in that.

Cazorla's effectiveness stems from the fact that he always wants the ball. He'll track back and collect it from the defence when we're building up a move. He'll also act as relief for any teammate caught in possession.

The only other players who do this are Sanchez and Mertesacker, strangely enough.

I'm also a big fan of his professional fouls. How many times has he pulled a shirt or clattered into an opponent to nullify a potential counter-attack? Some will say it's because he's lost an extra yard of pace, but he's always done this. Just like Rosicky did before him.

I'm not asking for much. Just the bare minimum expected from a CM.

It does seem a bit odd we don't appear to be in for a player to replace cazorla. Which means Cazorla could be back playing soon and the club are confident with his fitness, or Wenger believes Wilshere and Ramsey are adequate to replace him. Probably the latter

Seri and Carvalho have both been linked recently.

haveing a pairing that works and compliments each other is key in midfield. Xhaka is so weak defensively he has a huge impact on our team. Look at the likes of Vieira and his partnerships with Petit and Gilberto. Vieira was a beast and defended from the front of midfield. Petit and Gilberto were great at clering up if they got past him and covering other players to slow down attacks. It made for a defensively strong midfield unit. With Xhaka you ill never have that. Ramsey will always put ina shift and do his fair share of defensive work and attacking work. So for that reason I think Xhaka is the one who must be replaced to strengthen the team and cut out the loses to the likes of Palace.

I never watched this Seri guy but if he's as good as people say, go get him. We are really short in midfield. Ramsey and Xhaka haven't convinced and go knows when Santi is back. After that we don't really have any quality. For me CM should be our main priority.

Lemar would be a great addition but if Alexis is staying he would really be a vanity signing. Can't see him getting in the team ahead of Alexis, Ozil or Lacazette
