Afternoon chaps, summer break upon us and no racing until SPA at the end of the month
With these cars, SPA should be a phenomenal race and hopefully we get some mixed conditions to spice things up as well.
The last race was boring and horrible to be honest and whilst I was proud of Lewis, Bottas and Mercedes for their refreshing sportsmanship in a cut throat sport, one wonders if Mercedes are being too fair to both drivers.
Ferrari obviously adopt their number 1 driver policy and use the other guy to ride shot gun but was wondering what your thoughts were with Mercedes' approach to racing?

I think Hamilton thought he had to do it because the media hate him so much they don't need more fuel

Stupid, Bottas wasn't keeping pace with Hamilton so I thought they would've dropped the "agreement". Also Verstappen was close behind so it could've backfired quite easily. Why risk it?
Mercedes having two drivers battling for the title gives Vettel the advantage.

I admire it in one sense, but the fact Bottas couldn't keep up shows Lewis was substantially the quicker of the two.
That being said, it's a tough track to overtake on so there's no guarantee Lewis would have passed him were they to have raced against each other.
I don't think he's going to win it, but whilst it's still mathematically possible for Bottas to win the drivers championship, I think it would be unfair to make him step aside.

Can you honestly blame them. He is the face of f1 on the BBC and skysports f1 though.

As a sportsman I agree with the decision. Bottas needs to be on it the next couple of races though as those should suit Mercedes more
