Open letter to Mtc, (mons)

As much as i prefer not to rubbish fellow Cfcs supporters views , agreeing to disagree the better option.

Mons daily obsessive critic of the club and its actions is poor and does show that supporting your club is a labour of love that requires us to try to understand why the club do what they do.

We all know that 99% of what we hear, read and see in the various media outlets cannot be relied upon for numerous reasons , and much of the time is taken out of context or driven by biased agenda for one purpose or another most clubs face this problem at one time or another.

But this not exactly new.

Supporting your club can be an emotional rollar coaster ride from week to week season to season equally overwhelmingly with highs and lows .

As loyal supporters at times we are amazed and baffled with decisions which the club make in any one season.

Sometimes it works others it doesn't, but that is the responsibility of the people who run the club, they get paid to do a professional job.

We as supporters know only a small percentage of what goes on at the club and so at times when decisions are made we simply don't understand .

And yes we may not agree or like what decisions are made by the club but that is where it ends.

Of course we all voice our opinions , frustrations and bragg when it goes right

But to continously knock what the club do is pointless , its easy to have no hope attitude , but that attitude would have not created the incredible highs and achievements that our football club has experienced.

I remember doing match day jobs at Cfc in the mid to late 70s, the club was going back wards the West stand had recently been built , the club was facing difficult times , which continued for 20 seasons, but the likes of Ken Bates and Matthew Harding season by season rebuilt Cfc , we at that time spent 2 possibly 3 seasons in division 2 over that period , but as i remember it as supporters we enjoyed each season ( at times it was dyer) and put our faith in Ken and who ever was the manager.

Today Cfc is on another level it has risen from this days and over that period i have learnt that success can come if we are lucky and have a group of people running the club who get it right, but it is not a given and we cannot demand it or throw our toys out of the pram if we don't understand why the club does what it does.

What i do know is that we enjoyed more success in recent years 20 + and that looks like it will continue, the vast majority of loyally football supports will never be as fortunate as us.

That is a fckn FACT.

So my message to Mons is be grateful for what we have , fckn grow up and stop throwing your toys out of the pram on a daily basis, just because you don't fckn understand why the club does what it right or wrong.

We all over the season will complain and voice our disapproval from time to time but invariably we proved wrong and at times right, but its all about the bigger picture.

One thing I will say about MTC is he's becoming an exaggerated parody of the pessimistic nature of our fanbase (particularly the older generation) that's actually quite endearing.

What's wrong with us Old Uns!

We did used to moan back in the old days, but we had lots to moan about. That ship has long since sailed. I don't agree with everything the Club do currently (I am not an Emanalo fan for example) but as I said before, the bigger picture has a hell of a lot more positives than negatives about it and FFS we have only just won the League. Many top Club's in this country would love to be in our shoes, in spite of what they might say to our faces.

How bad is that?

I never used to moan in the old days 69 - I loved those times!

Looking back now Brum, I also have a nostalgic fondness for those times

However our goals back then were very different from today. Back then we just wanted to take every end in the Country but now we actually realistically envisage winning everything possible on the Planet!!

Content,

I don't really think that you can compare Cfc Roman Abramovich to the likes of PSG, City or Untd, Real Bayern or Barcelona today for numerous reasons.

Firstly PSG and City are owned the ruling families of very wealthy and powerful middle eastern countries, who's agendas are far more complicated than Abramovich's , they are essentially market tools for Qatar and the UAE.

United, Real ,Barcelona and Bayern are established in europes elite for over 30/40 years .

With established incomes and fan bases.

Cfc and Roman are owned and run as a private business , and it takes years and careful planning to slowly reach the level as the established elite, its not a case of every season you go up notch , two steps forward one back the maxim.

But as all business's , have to choice when to pick its fights as competing head to penny for penny can come at a damaging cost, i.e. this window and Neymar for over 400m fee and contract.

( our new stadium will cost in the region of 500m)

Something we have been waiting for over 10 years now.

Possibly the club are looking long term development and thinking after winning the league in the last 3 season twice this season we face extreme difficulties in the market competing penny for penny with our rival will put our long plans at jeopardy and so we will do enough to compete by buying sensibly with in a budget ( which is more than moist clubs by far)

But if it not enough to give us the best possible start , but enough to keep us in the top 4 and give us a decent chance at domestic silverware and a run in the C/L then so be it.

As long as the long term goals are met and safe I'm certain the club will go with safety over fanatical win at all costs which was employed as a strategy in the first 10 years of the Abramovich tenure.

As fans this may be difficult to agree with and understand , but I'm sure the club and owner have the best interests of the club ( and investment in mind ) and as long as we continue to progress coping ups and downs I'm sure the club will satisfied and us a supporters should consider ourselves fortunate that we have a board and owner who is able and prepared to do what most other owners and clubs fail to do.
