Wondered that myself today. My guess is because of the dramatic inflation of the market this summer, the prospect of "cashing in" doesn't apply anymore when dealing with your best players. You couldn't buy 3 or 4 to replace one in this market, not a chance.

Before the window I actually thought the idea of cashing in on Hazard (for 100mil ) would've been beneficial, so glad that Real move didn't materialize now. He's the sort of player who couldn't be sold for value right now, market's extremely youth heavy - 150mil for Mbappe says it all.

Levy could probably get a quarter of a billion quid out of some sucker for Kane in this market. Absolutely crazy.
