.... Finding this whole Drinkwater rumour completely bizarre?
From the lack of quotes from managers and player to the (apparent and completely unsourced) laughable bid and, no offence to Drinkwater as a player, it's Chelsea bidding for him after a pretty average season...
It's the London press response I've not really getting - claims of a £15m bid, £20m bid apparently going to 'test us' (come on, surely even a national journalist can recognise that the players that we are going for and not signing is down to the 'size' of our club as opposed to a lack of funds) and also this claim that Drinkwater was being lined up for a double swoop last year but we didn't allow it (why on earth would the press wait until now to claim this as opposed to last summer when it apparently happened) - just all seems a little...well....odd.
Am I the only one ....

Just a friend of a friend who met some bloke in the newsagents said all the media promotional stuff is being altered with Drinkwater removed. 😂

Oh, well, the bloke who goes in there is always speaking tripe. You can ignore him quite happily.
Unless you mean the other bloke.

Sounds nailed on this.
Who should we replace him with?

So the latest rumour is that if Chelsea want DD they will have to pay 40 million ( sorry I dont know how to put a laughiong face imojo on)
So if we get what we want for them we wpuld get 90 million for two players who by common consensus on this board were rubbish last season ( DD and Mahrez)
Between them I think they cost us around 1.5 million.
Not a bad profit then. Pretty good work by Np and his scouts ( though I doubt whether Nev would agree)
Now who can we sell next. Can we appoint NP as chancellor of the exchequer.
