of course in an ideal world we would do both but until the stadium is paid for we have to be very careful ................
I reckon we may have up to maybe 80m to spend , so do we buy new players or give our top 20 players a 40k a week pay rise which the 80m would fund for the next 2 years
If we don't buy we still have a strong squad
Ben D
KWP
Wimmer
Sissoko
Vinnie J
GKN
Vorm
Dier
Winks
Lamela
When the squad is fit the above players will be fighting it out for a place on the bench I would love to buy new additions but I do wonder if its better to keep our superb players happy because I believe they are a tad underpaid compared with some in the Prem
Buy players or increase wages

Revenue will have increased over the last couple of years, and we pay around 50% of it as wages. So the wages will be incrementally rising anyway.
New kit deal. Improved sponsor deal. New TV deal. This should see it rise further soon. 50% of all of these
Once we have had a spell at Wembley we will see how much extra revenue we can expect, and an increase in line with projected new stadium revenue should also see a rise.
If we can keep transfer spending to roughly what we bring in, there is no reason the wages should not go up

We need to do both

middle ground to be found.
50 mill on 2 quality players. (can be done if we scout properly)
rest goes towards moving the wage structure up.

We all know Levy would love to do neither.
