Celtic 5 v 0 Astana

Since no one has done an article on it here are my thoughts.

Great night. Still buzzing about it.

Whole crowd was superb. Singing bursting out everywhere. That comes from the team and the performance and not a guy with a drum.

I think we should have been 2-0 up within 10 minutes. I've not seen Sinclairs miss again but Griffiths should have done better with his header.

Then Astana came into it and controlled the game. The usual Champions League boo boy fans started up because we hadn't touched the ball for a bit with no appreciation for the patience and strong structure we had.

Sinclair and Forrest were poor - really poor which is what gave Astana the ascendency. I don't think either got hugely better. Forrest was nice and calm for his goal but that aside I found him lazy and watching the game too much. Sinclair didn't do the simple thing like passing and 1-2's until we were 4-0 up

Ntcham was superb and like most my MOTM. I think he is too similar to Brown though and they don't particularly suit playing next to each other but maybe that is just a time thing.

Griffiths hold up play looks great and for something he never was appreciated for we see just how important he is when we have no forwards available.

I refused to join in the singin for having a party in the Champions League at 3-0, again at 4-0 but couldn't help myself at 5-0

1 goal over there for us and they need 7. Surely we can't do that. Surely.
