I mentioned in an article a few weeks back how the likes of Gomez, Solanke, Ings, Flanagan and would be massive for us in terms of relying on them when others are out.
Add in Robertson and Salah and the squad we have is damn useful, we are not talking about players who havent played for us, the youngsters have played a fair few games and look settled to me. We have seen today that Gomez, Robertson and Solanke all helped in the win today, sometimes its not the headline grabbers that count but the others.
Remember we still have Coutinho, Clyne and Lallana to come back as well, i think teh squad is decent and we have cover, long may it continue.

I don't think our squad is thin.
I think our first team needs an injection of quality, in defence and midfield.
Doing that will make our squad stronger anyway as two current first team players become squad players.
We don't need squad players.
We need two players who could make a real difference and take us beyond the level of being very very competitive, to the level of being winners.

Yep it looks that way.
We may still end up with both but not this summer.
In the meantime we still have a very good team that will be very competitive this season.

Comparing our squad to the top 6 rivals is dreadful.
Gk, defence and midfield are just bang average.
We need 3/4 players in right now to have any hope.
I sense in 3 games time there will be a lot of angry fans.

If its such a weak squad how come we have won 2 and drawn 1 out of three when missing Lallana, Ings, Coutinho and Clyne and Sturridge for 2 of the 3??
It doesnt make sense saying we have a weak squad, does it??

Watford look pretty good actually.
Can see them finishing top half.
Hoffenheim are the 4th best team in Germany, no mugs at all.
Palace was the one where a win was expected and nothing else, and we did it with 5 changes and 3 first 11 players injured.
