Fabregas era was few players away from being one of the best team in Europe...unfortunately Wenger’s penny pinching has cost him everything.....

I used to enjoy every match we played when we had Fabregas, obviously losses would sour my mood but these days I feel I am mostly discontent and wins are a happy surprise nowadays.

I had that very thought earlier watching this game. At least that Fabregas team could keep the ball and we're good to watch. And having the likes of Bendtner and Chamakh provided some comic relief (and not to mention a good excuse).

Have to agree, I was also mulling over this a few days back. The team from 2007-2011 was easy on the eye and a joy to watch even if they fell short in the honours department. I always felt the team was lacking a few quality additions to take it over the line.

Dominate in terms of possession, not in terms of results. You deny you weren't playing the counterattacking style?

Some of our performances during that time were absolutely pathetic. Nothing much has changed, accept the improvement of our opposition - that's why you feel so discontent.

As a fan its possible to enjoy a match that you lose in. Back then we had a swagger which we could turn on in a moment, everything now just seems so boring in our play.

Indeed football is a results business but I loved to just watch us play even if we didn't win.
