Pep Guardiola
Jose Mourinho
Jurgen Klopp
Antonio Conte
Arsene Wenger
Ronald Koeman
I'd say poch is less so than these six
But only two of the six can be described as successful in the PL in recent years, so what makes a good manager?
Is it someone like Poch who spends little(compared to his rivals) and produces good but not as yet successful teams, or someone like Jose or Conte who isn't afraid to spend big but backs their spending up with silverware?

I think every good manager has to get results without the chequebook. Once the results come, he gets the book. Its just like that. I do admire Poch, but he's got to get results, or he'll be the next Wenger without that one great yea.

No one has ever spent more than Jose and Mourinho to achieve success they have until a couple of years ago. Last season and this season their spending has reached half a billion each and still failed to deliver any major honours.
Conte on the other hand has spent a lot less, but still managed to deliver the title last season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Neither Jose or Pep have spent half a billion in the last two years. Jose has spent over 300 mill, Pep close to 400 million.
The League Cup and Europa are major honours. Not what we want to be winning but major trophies nonetheless.
Conte hasn't spent a lot less and will likely have spent more than Jose by the end of the week if he gets his way.
Bit of a mare overall here.

Conte inherited an expensive squad and was told to concentrate on winning the league as Chelsea weren't involved in Europe.
Not exactly the toughest ask in football.
