Only because he absolutely had to once the spotlight being shone on them was the impending glare of a move to L.A. Without that Fisher stays and the Rams continue to be the same bottom feeding mess they've been since their 1999-2001 zenith. Joke franchise, ran into the ground by a joke owner because of a fanbase, like ours, with simply worn down to the point of malaise.

not sure abt that. think gazidis and wenger were under extreme pressure last season. and thats not gone away. just look at the reaction after liverpool.

you have to keep in mind usmanov is not some innocent party in this. i am sure he is funding some aspects of pressure on wenger. i don't think its some amateur mob. those plane banners cost money. if ppl are that motivated its time for wenger and gazidis to stop digging a hole for themselves.

Fan pressure won't do a thing to him as long as he has assets to strip (players). He only got rid of Fisher (who's tenure in Tennessee should have told him everything he needed about just what a perennial loser the man was) because of the L.A move and the subsequent spotlight. He won't get rid of a man like Wenger who so deeply represents a sport he has no understanding of and no care for outside of its fiscal rewards.

Nothing that happens at Arsenal between now and Wenger's contract end is going to make him wield that axe. The only thing he'll be panicking over currently is that he hasn't been able to flog Ozil and rinse more profit from this laughable mess of a situation.

well they all do to an extent. what other industry has their customers so locked in emotionally to a product.

I'll be there tomorrow hoping that ornstein's report was just to throw off potential competitors after similar players. its rare when the same type of player, alexis and coutinho could move for huge money at the same time leaving two clubs having to replace with deep pockets at the same time.

who knows there maybe a few players out there who are available at a price we haven't even considered. ozil, reyes and arshavin were all 3 like that.
